Danny Vieira - Lead Guitar / Vocals

Hey, I'm Danny, the vocalist and lead guitarist for Crimson Rain.  I have been playing guitar for 18 years, and drums for 6 years.  I accepted Christ into my life when I was 7 years old, and though I have struggled, I have never turned back. I truly believe that music is the gateway to the soul. My goal in this ministry is to show people that there is hope in a broken world. His name is Jesus. Though we are broken people we can be renewed!  I am truly blessed with my family and friends and for my relationship with Christ, and for the chance to play for Him, and to play with my biggest influence, my father.  Thank you all!

Mike Vieira - Rhythm Guitar / Vocals

Hi, I'm Mike, vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Crimson Rain. Through my whole life music has always been important to me. My style was developed by listening to many musicians and bands over the years. I received Christ into my life on May 24, 1984. God blessed me with my wife, Melody and my children, Mike, Ray, and of course, Danny. For many years my playing was secondary to feeding people. As my son, Dan, got older it became clear that God would use us to minister through music. The Bible says "make a joyful noise" and we are very good at that!

Craig Roberts - Drums / Vocals (2011 - present)

Hey! I'm Craig, drummer for Crimson Rain.  Although God had been calling me to Himself since I was a teenager, I never truly gave my life to Him until 1995.  If only I had answered His call back in the 1980's, the journey may have been easier!  Deep rooted bitterness and total rebellion had led me down into the basement of life.  Once I hit rock bottom, there was no other place to look but up!  Thank the Lord.  He was there waiting for me!!  In my early 20's I started to take an interest in playing the drums, took some lessons, and played whenever I got the chance.  In 2001, at the request of my friend and worship leader, Steven Grenier, I started playing drums full time for the church worship team.  Shortly after that, I played for "Shekinah Glory" a band which consisted of several singers and musicians from my church worship team.  In 2007, I helped form "Grafted In" a band in which I will always feel blessed to have been a part of!  Finally, as a long-time friend of Mike and Dan, I was asked to be the full time drummer for Crimson Rain.  I Thank God for the opportunity to play for this band, and to hopefully touch more lives through this ministry!  I truly have a passion for music and understand that God can use music to touch people in very unique and deep ways.  It is an honor to be used as an instrument of His love!

Ray Ferreira - Bass (2020 - present)

Hey everyone! I’m Ray, the newest addition to Crimson Rain. I’m a multi-instrumentalist but I play bass in Crimson Rain.  In addition to bass, I also play guitar, drums, and even a little bit of keyboards. Most recently, I was the lead guitarist for Lifesong – a Casting Crowns tribute band; you may have seen us playing in the local RI/MA/CT area. I also play drums most weeks at my church (Christ Church in East Greenwich, RI).

I was raised in the Catholic church where I was an altar boy for many years. I fell away from the church in my teens but I never lost my connection to God. It wasn’t until I was 40 that I found my way back to church at which time I was introduced to Contemporary Christian and Christian Rock music. The timing was all part of God’s plan!

God’s plan also included introducing me to Crimson Rain. I was a struggling Christian going through one of the roughest seasons of my life when a brother at church gave me Crimson Rain’s first CD – I was blown away! After listening to it and catching a gig a week later, I remember praying and asking God if I could join the band as a 2nd guitarist. Well here we are, 7 years later, and I’m in Crimson Rain – but as a bass player! Proof that God answers prayers – in His time and in His way. Not always the way we envision them; God’s plan is always bigger than our own!

Ralph Williams - Bass (2007 - 2020)

Hi, I’m Ralph, the bass player. I first came to know the Lord through John Polce’s music ministry at the age of 19.

I had experienced the Holy Spirit for the first time in my life, I was on fire! I totally committed my life to following the Lord. I had been involved with drugs and alcohol from the age of 15, and from 19 to 22 I would fall back with the old crowd from time to time. Until finally I fell away completely and turned my back on God. I remember shaking my fist at the sky saying leave me alone I don’t want you anymore! Then at 30 years old, because of the life I was living, I lost it all! I was emptied of everything and was scared and alone, trying to decide whether to take my life or not, and in desperation I cried out! Thank God for a loving Savior who when I reached up and begged for help and forgiveness was there with open arms to welcome me home. Spirit filled music brought me to Christ. To be able to come together and share the love of Jesus through music is something I never want to stop doing. Peace.
